In-Home Sleep Test
SKUWatchPat-1If you have symptoms of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, a home sleep test is a fast, convenient and reliable way to diagnose the condition.
Each home sleep study is independently analysed by one of our experienced NHS-qualified sleep clinicians, who will provide you with a detailed results report in 2 working days.
We use the WatchPat home sleep test device, which is medically approved and has accuracy comparable to sleep testing used in sleep clinics and hospitals.
Please note: You must be over 18 and have a BMI below 45 to take the sleep test.
Home Sleep Apnoea testing
If you think you could have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), a home sleep study is an affordable, reliable and convenient way to confirm it. Our detailed WatchPAT sleep test device allows you to test comfortably from home.
The easy-to-use device provides accuracy comparable to Polysomnography (PSG), a method used in sleep clinics for in-depth sleep reporting. The non-invasive test monitors your body movements, blood oxygen level, snoring and Peripheral Arterial Tone.
We offer two versions of the tests that are the same price with the same accuracy:
The Rapid Test automatically transfers your sleep data through the WatchPAT One app, which can be downloaded onto your phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play for Android.
The Standard Test is a good option if you do not have a compatible smartphone. Results take a little longer as you are required to post the device back to us.
Why take a home Sleep Apnoea test?
It takes, on average, seven years from developing apparent symptoms of Sleep Apnoea for people to have it confirmed. With this test, you are just days away from that point – and within 24 hours of receiving your result, you could be start treatment.
Home sleep studies are the first step towards regaining quality sleep and improving other aspects of your life, including:
Improved Safety: OSA can make you excessively tired during the day, increasing the risk of accidents, especially while driving or operating machinery. Testing can help identify if you have Sleep Apnoea and require treatment to stay safe.
Quality of Life: Treating OSA can improve your quality of life by helping you feel more alert, energetic, and focused during the day.
Brain Function: One of the signs of OSA is memory loss due to the reduced oxygen to the brain. Treating the condition improves your memory and helps reduce cognitive decline.
Best Alternative to a Sleep Clinic: Leaving the condition untreated makes simple tasks difficult, and NHS sleep study waiting times can be extensive. Our tests not only help you, but they also help to reduce NHS patient wait times.
What happens after I receive my results?
If your test results confirm you have Sleep Apnoea, you will receive treatment advice. Here’s what you can expect:
Treatment options: Based on the data recorded and your medical history, we will recommend suitable treatment options. You can use your results to gain treatment through your GP or privately purchase treatment from us. We can provide all clinically proven treatment options, including CPAP therapy, positional therapy, and mandibular advancement devices.
Further investigation: If you would like to investigate your sleep further, you can discuss your results with your GP, who may refer you to a sleep clinic for more testing.
